Job Responsibilities
The candidate will be involved in the design and implementation of software implementing DTS audio solutions. Project areas include the streaming and internet delivery of audio using DTS formats, the development of tools for content creation, playback and analysis.
The applicant will have experience of standard software development practices, processes and tools covering the full software life cycle. The applicant will also have software project planning and organisational skills. Good teamwork skills and demonstrated experience of working in multinational and virtual teams is desirable. The successful candidate will also have strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to multi-task and work independently. The candidate will also have experience of working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
•Design and implementation of software containing DTS proprietary algorithms across multiple platforms (Windows, MacOSX, Linux, Android and cloud-based services)
• C/C++ programming in Windows/Mac OS/Linux and Android platforms
• UI implementation using native code and JUCE or other frameworks on Window/MacOS/Linux or Android
Required Education and Experience
• Master's degree in computer science or engineering with 5+ years industry experience
• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience will be considered in lieu of Master's degree
• Demonstrable knowledge of C/C++ required, Java desirable
• Good debugging skills
• Familiarity with the software life cycle, including requirements capture, planning, tracking, documentation, implementation, testing and maintenance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience of working in Agile / Scrum methodology
Other Skills & Abilities:
• Programming for A/V frameworks
• Creation of content authoring tools
• Implementation of digital audio algorithms on desktop PCs
• Experience in programming Android and/or iOS devices
• UI design and implementation across multiple platforms
• Scripting including Python and/or Perl
• Certified Scrummaster
• Experience of container formats, multiplexing and streaming
