I have a plugin that has over 1000 parameters. When I ask the PluginHost to display the parameters which creates a generic window, the host hangs or maybe takes a very long time.
Is there a way to have a host only ask for a certain number of parameters? Ex. Just the Master parameters.
Any ideas?
The generic window code is there for you to see/hack. I never wrote it with scalability in mind, you might want to see if you can improve that.
OK. I was just wondering if it was a general problem with hosts to show over a 1000 parameters. Very few hosts allow you to choose a generic window, so it’s hard to test. I’ll take a peek at the generic window code and see what the problem is.
It probably just tries to create 1000 slider components, rather than just showing the ones that are on-screen.
