I just noticed the new set of classes AudioData::*, and I wondered about their use. In other word, what can they do that AudioSampleBuffer, AudioFormatManager and consorts can’t do ? Is it just a “cleanification” or are there new features ? Just out of curiosity…

AudioData isn’t a replacement for those classes, it replaces the old AudioDataConverter methods with a new, templated version. They’re essentially used to describe a block of data in some audio format and convert between them.

Have a look at this thread for some more in-depth discussion and use-cases.

ok, thank you !
