audioDeviceIOCallback called super fast

#1

On a Windows system I sometimes see the audio device stop working and audioDeviceIOCallback still being called, only at some super-fast speed. Is there something I need to be doing to catch this and restart the audio device or inform the user? Or is this some weird bug only affecting my system?

#2

This is odd, which windows audio backend are you using (WSAPI, ASIO, …)?

#3

WSAPI …

  • it happens after the computer goes to sleep and is restored…just tested it.
  • I’ve seen it on multiple computers here.
  • Windows 10.

#4

Also audioDeviceStopped() callback is not hit when i got to sleep/restore.

#5

How’d you notice? Does it sound?

#6

Can you check if this is now fixed on develop with commit 60c664c? I cannot reliably reproduce it on my machine so I’m not 100% sure that it’s fixed.

Shit was this a bug at your end? I’ll have a look later in the week and get back to you.
