C++ Application Developer at Orchestral Tools

We’re looking for an experienced and highly motivated C++ application developer to help us develop the next generation, best-in-class sampling platform. Someone with a solid foundation in the field of software engineering that helps us to grow a modern, maintainable codebase.

We’re a small team based in Berlin. You can expect to be working with the most modern techniques without legacy code. The work culture is open, fast-paced, and supportive. You’ll work with our development team designing and implementing our next generation of products. And because we’re small and growing fast, there’s lots of potential for development.

The position is full-time (40 hrs a week) and you can start as soon as possible.

What you’ll do

  • Design and implement state-of-the-art C++ audio applications and plugins on multiple platforms (Windows & macOS)
  • Translate complex features into modern, clean, and maintainable code
  • Take part in code reviews and pair-programming sessions
  • Share your knowledge to advance our team and help us grow collectively

What we’re looking for

  • At least 3 years’ professional experience as a C++ developer
  • A high level of motivation and interest in the field of virtual music instruments
  • A high proficiency with C++17, boost, CMake and git, working on multiple platforms
  • A strong understanding of automated software tests and proficiency with at least one software testing framework (GTest, catch, Robot framework, etc…)
  • Strong organizational skills and experience working in an agile team
  • A positive and supportive personality
  • Excellent English, German is a plus
  • An understanding of computer-based music composition and production is a plus
