Controlled Folder Access on Windows 10 causing ISS Installers to fail

Hi guys,

we have received some support requests because some of our Windows installers were failing on some Windows 10 machines. It looks like that a new Windows Defender feature, called Controlled Folder Access and introduced with that latest Fall update, is causing the problem.

Anybody experienced the same?

Not sure if because of that “Controlled Folder Access” or if it is something else, but I also have some installers getting rejected by windows defender now. How did you solve that?
