How to convert String to std:string when there has chinese

if(file.hasFileExtension("xml")||file.hasFileExtension("3ds")){ app->canvas->getSolidTree()->load(file.getFullPathName().toCString()); }

if the path has chinese character, the toCString method is wrong .

The toCString method is deprecated, and doesn’t exist in the latest version. You should probably use String::toUTF8(), assuming that you want your std::string to be in utf-8 format.

[code] inline std::string ws2s(const std::wstring& ws){
std::string curLocale = setlocale(LC_ALL, NULL); // curLocale = “C”;
setlocale(LC_ALL, “chs”);
const wchar_t* _Source = ws.c_str();
size_t _Dsize = 2 * ws.size() + 1;
char *_Dest = new char[_Dsize];
std::string result = _Dest;
delete []_Dest;
setlocale(LC_ALL, curLocale.c_str());
return result;

inline std::wstring s2ws(const std::string& s){
	setlocale(LC_ALL, "chs");
	const char* _Source = s.c_str();
	size_t _Dsize = s.size() + 1;
	wchar_t *_Dest = new wchar_t[_Dsize];
	wmemset(_Dest, 0, _Dsize);
	std::wstring result = _Dest;
	delete []_Dest;
	setlocale(LC_ALL, "C");
	return result;

   inline string convert2str(String val){
       wstring wstr(val.toWideCharPointer());
       string str = stlpache::ws2s(wstr);
       return str;

   after update the juce to last git version, and using the above functions, i have solove this problem. thank you !
