I would like to add additional functionality to Serato DJ. Is this possible without a Serato SDK/Internal tools? Ideally I would like to be able to read values like BPM, perform a simple calculation and integrate the result into the UI or at least overlay it or output it to a mobile device. If anyone could shed some light on the tools I would need to learn to approach this it would be greatly appreciated!
I don’t use Serato DJ, but not long ago I looked at what DJ software offers plug-in support for VST and AU and surprisingly few have 3rd party plug-in support.
Serato DJ does not have the plug-in support you would need to be able to augment it using JUCE.
Serato does make a DAW, Serato Studio which seems to have the necessary plug-in support, but I’m assuming this is not what you are interested in.
