Is juce libarary going to support AAC audio Format?

Hi, jules
How are you?
are you going to provide support for AAC(Advanced Audio Coding) audio format ? There are some info about this format.

Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) is a standardized, lossy compression and encoding scheme for digital audio. Designed to be the successor of the MP3 format, AAC generally achieves better sound quality than MP3 at many bit rates.

No licenses or payments are required to be able to stream or distribute content in AAC format.[8] This reason alone makes AAC a much more attractive format to distribute content than MP3, particularly for streaming content (such as Internet radio).

Cheers!

Hadn’t got any plans to implement it…

The same is true of mp3 - but you do need a license to release software that uses an mp3 codec. Maybe that’s also how aac is licensed?

ive passed on some code to jules for doing AppleLoops which also includes the stuff for decoding AAC, plus very basic CAF files ( excluding the Apple Loop side, since how CAF stores Apple Loop data is still fuzzy as compared to AIFF apple loops.
