I’ve been doing some initial research to determine whether I want to pursue crafting a VST or CLAP plugin, and saw the SOUL project that was announced several years ago. After watching the keynote, I got pretty excited about having a close to metal OpenGL-esque language for audio software and was anxious to try it out. However, once I went to the official website, all the labs don’t load and the last commits to the GitHub repo were in 2021. That also seems to be the last time SOUL was ever mentioned on this forum… 2021 followed by radio static. Is this something I should invest time in, or is this just a dream that sadly died?
SOUL is dead, but the developers later started a new very similar project, Cmajor :

Nice! Thanks for that information. I’m glad to see it is no longer affiliated with ROLI since they’ve had lots of financial and restructuring woes in the past. I’ll go ahead and see if Cmajor is what I’m looking for.
