# isRecording / kVstTransportRecording

Hi.

I’m trying to use a variation of the demo plugin (the VST 2.4 flavor)  
but keeps getting isRecording = false all the time.

I’ve checked and the kVstTransportRecording bit is always zero when returning from getTimeInfo()

I tried it on both Ableton and FL Studio.

Does it not common to support this flag or I’m just missing something?

No, you’re not missing anything, the support for flags like that just depends on whether the host bothers to set it, and often they don’t…
