JUCE_COREGRAPHICS_DRAW_ASYNC on iOS

Hi guys,
hope all is good over there, I heard pubs are already open, I envy you
I would like to propose a tiny little change that would enable async drawing support on iOS.
Currently, the JUCE_COREGRAPHICS_DRAW_ASYNC macro is being used just on macOS.
I’ve attached a patch that would make it work on iOS as well.
I’ve been using it in my fork for a while now (I’ve got a few commercial products using it).

AsyncDrawingOniOS.patch (769 Bytes)

Cheers :beers:

make a pull request on github and make a feature request forum post so it gets noticed by the JUCE team.

Seems like a lot of work for 3 lines of code
I don’t even have a GitHub account…

Yep, don’t worry about creating a github account. This post has been noticed!

We’ll need to test this a bit on physical devices before merging this change, so I can’t commit to a specific timeline. I’ll try to take a proper look at this over the next couple of weeks.
