Juce pixelated rendering

I’ve read through the old threads many times and I know this is reopening old wounds but nevertheless - them pixels gotta go… like many others I have issues with small fonts looking less than spectacular, and curved stroked paths are just hideous. Software rendering or openGL doesn’t seem to solve the issue (though this is cheaty opengl I"m talking about, just attaching context to components).

How have you guys tackled this problem? I’m tempted just to design my way around it but it is annoying. It’s less bad on a retina screen but still prevalent.

Are there anti-alias settings or some other obscure flags that might automagically fix this problem?
