Logic Pro macOS AUv3 - multi-bus instrument issue

Steps to use your AUv3 instrument in multi-bus mode with LogicPro for macOS:

  1. New Project - select MIDI / Software Instrument; set your Instrument to [your plug-in] Multi-Output (25xStereo); note that you can start with an empty project, and add this track / plug-in manually later if you prefer
  2. Prepare your plug-in for playback via its UI
  3. Select from the main menu: View → Show Mixer
  4. Now set-up your aux outputs: here is the simplest approach:
  5. At the bottom of the “Inst 1” track (which contains [your plug-in] ), press the “+” button a few times to add the AUX buses; your plug-in will send your second bus on 3/4, your third bus on 4/5 etc
  6. Start Logic Pro playing!

Hi @reuk

I appreciate my investigations thus far have focused on JUCE 7 - I promise to look again at JUCE 8/9 soon! - but do please note my comments above on canApplyBusCountChange and related methods.

Best wishes, Pete
