# London Audio Programmer Monthly Meetups - starting 10 March!

I’m excited to announce that I have teamed up with Timur Doumler (@timur) to bring you the London Monthly Meetups!

If you’re in London, we invite you to our first meetup on 10 March! Special guest Dave Rowland from Tracktion (@dave96) will present a talk titled “Real-time Tradeoffs in Audio Development.”

The talks will be live-streamed from the Audio Programmer YouTube page for viewers worldwide!

Dave Rowland from Tracktion ( @dave96) will present “Real-time Tradeoffs in Audio Programming”

**Abstract:** Writing real-time applications can be tricky, usually you obtain real-time guarantees by making sacrifices elsewhere and the costs paid can be subtle.  
We’ll take a look at a concrete example of making an existing mechanism real-time safe and what decisions need to made along the way.  
Spoiler - there won’t be a right answer but there will be lots of questions!
