Thank you for all your help with this, the issue has finally been found. It turns out that Xcode was referencing a spurious duplicate of the class that had somehow been saved within the Juce Demo Project folder. Therefore any changes that I made to the class weren’t actually taking effect. Sorry to have posted for a problem that was not as advertised, but I have learnt a lot from the suggestions posted here and the directions those suggestions sent me.
