Looking for Mac Apple Silicon testers for an AI MIDI plugin built with JUCE

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a few technical beta testers for DawLinkAI, an AI MIDI plugin currently available for Mac Apple Silicon only.

The website is live with download and license activation:

I’m mainly trying to validate the technical flow:

  • installer/download flow
  • license activation
  • AU/VST3 detection
  • Logic Pro / Ableton Live / Reaper / Studio One compatibility
  • plugin scan issues
  • macOS Gatekeeper / permission issues
  • basic MIDI generation inside the DAW

If anyone here is on M1/M2/M3/M4 and can test it, I’d really appreciate feedback with:

  • Mac model/chip
  • macOS version
  • DAW + version
  • AU/VST3 detected: yes/no
  • activation worked: yes/no
  • plugin opened: yes/no
  • MIDI output worked: yes/no
  • crash logs or screenshots if anything breaks

Still early beta, so I’m mainly looking for practical technical feedback before opening it more publicly.

Thanks!
Angelo

If you are asking people to invest their time into testing your commercial software then I think you should be offering something in return. What motivation would someone have for working on your closed-source for-profit project?

makes sense thank you! I’ll offer a free monthly membership to whoever contributes, how does that sound?

Unless your monthly subscription fee is particularly large, I doubt that would even cover 1 hour of development a month.

I would override the look and feel on the components for a start, no offense intended to the JUCE team but the UI style is giving JUCE demo runner. There’s some feedback for free!

makes sense thank you for your feedback Joe!! I’ll do my best to improve it
