Hi guys, I’m working on an application that will support MIDI and MPE. It was all quite easy to get it working, but I was wondering whether there is some way to automatically detect whether a device is an MPE device or MIDI device?
2021 still have this question, so I’ll broaden the question a bit. When receiving MIDI messages or connecting a MIDI Device is there any way to detect that a message or device is MPE instead of just MIDI? How can you know for example whether a value is intended for master MPE channel or whether it’s just a normal MIDI message.
