Multitouch using evdev driver

#1

hey,

i'm working on an application that runs on an embedded linux platform using a capacitive multitouch screen. evdev is used as the input driver. running evtest, i get multiple touch points. in the juce application however, the screen behaves as if it were single touch. does anyone have any experience with this kind of problem?

thanks!

We have code to support multi-touch on iOS, Android and Windows, but not yet linux... It's in our backlog, but couldn't say when we'll get around to implementing it. If you're in a hurry and want to have a go at adding support for it, please go for it and let us know how you get on!

Hi basicshapes,

I would strongly recommend using XInput2 instead of using evdev directly, since JUCE uses libX11 to handle X11 requests and the evdev support for multitouch protocol exists on Xinput2 extension.
