To the JUCE team — isn’t it time to add a separate forum category for JUCE developers to discuss issues related to using AI tools such as Cursor, Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google tools like Antigravity?
After many years on “hiatus” from JUCE coding — I’m basically retired now — I’ve just begun evaluating Google’s Antigravity today and, amazingly, reached a built-plugin state within an hour. So far (as far as I can tell), this was achieved for free.
I’ve listened to several C++ experts discussing their current experiences with the available tools, and they tended to describe Antigravity as still quite early and a bit rough around the edges compared to, say, Cursor paired with Claude models. That said, this is clearly a constantly evolving horse race, and it feels like a topic worthy of its own forum category here, no?
I’ve long dreamt of being able to work alongside a real C++ + JUCE “guru”. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could all have our very own Jules as a personal mentor-collaborator? For someone like me, had I had my own personal Jules years ago, I might have experienced far less anguish and aggravation — much of it, it must be said, related to header issues and cyclical linker errors ( of my own ‘making’ - not JUCE’s ) … but still. Whinges/moans/WTF’s and aaargh!!’s over.
As Two Minute Papers would say: “What a time to be alive!”
Over and out
