Newcomers to C++

Here’s something that was excellent when I was starting out with C++. I bought a book called “Thinking in C++” by Bruce Eckel, and it came with a CD of lectures with slides that ran on the computer. It teaches you the fundamentals of the syntax of C, which is great at getting you familiar quickly for learning C++. I used it, and it put me in good stead for programming.

Anyway, he’s decided to release the lectures (Thinking in C) in flash format for free on his website.

It really is excellent, i sat thru them all with a pen and a pad of paper, and treated it as tutoring like at college. If you’re starting out in C++, i highly recommend this set of lectures.

[three years later] thanks very much for this!
