I’m getting a small JUCE effect ready to sell and hit a wall before writing any licensing code. I’m in Turkey, where Stripe doesn’t onboard sellers and PayPal has been shut since 2016. So most of the usual stores (Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy, anything built on Stripe Connect) can take the sale but can’t pay me out.

What I’ve found so far:

- Payoneer receives fine, but it isn’t a checkout.
- [itch.io](http://itch.io) pays out to Payoneer, but it’s not where plugin buyers look.
- Paddle lists Turkey as supported. I haven’t tried it yet.

If you sell from a country outside the Stripe list, what does your stack look like: store, merchant of record, license delivery? Things you tried and dropped are just as useful.

Senol

[https://www.2checkout.com/](https://www.2checkout.com/) ? I think Voxengo (Russia) uses it. Maybe you can ask Aleksey?

Does WISE work in Turkey? If so, Moonbase might work.

Disclaimer: I haven’t used Moonbase before (as I don’t sell at the moment), and I am not affilitated.

Have you tried payhip? they have an integration with iyzico which works for Turkey. They do license delivery + automated tax handling but NOT in Turkey. If your customers are in US, CA, UK, or any countries on the EU I think it’ll work, but consult an accountant for this

Thanks, Qfactor. I did not know Voxengo sells through them. I think 2Checkout is now Verifone, so I’ll check whether they onboard sellers from Turkey and what the payout path is. Do you know if the licence delivery side works for plugins, or is it only the payment part?

Thanks, zsliu98. Moonbase looks interesting for the licensing side. My only receiving account so far is Payoneer, so I’ll check whether their payout options work with that. I’ll report back here either way.

Thanks, nadsoundz. Payhip with iyzico is new to me, and the tax warning is useful. Have you received payouts to a Turkish bank through it yourself, or is that from their docs? That is the part I can’t verify from here.

Sorry I can’t help with that.

We’ve had plugin devs from Turkey on Moonbase for years, and paid them monthly, no problems here!

Thanks @TobbenTM, that’s the first first-hand confirmation I’ve had, and it settles the main question. Two follow-ups, if you don’t mind: (1) which payout rail do your Turkish developers use: Wise, Payoneer, or a direct bank transfer in TRY/USD? (2) Does Moonbase act as merchant of record for VAT/sales tax, so the developer only sees the net payout? If yes, I’ll set up an account next week and report back here with what the onboarding actually asked for, so the next person from a country outside the Stripe list has a concrete answer.

Moonbase öneririm. Hem lisanslama hem satış kapılarını karşılıyor

All use direct bank transfer in USD, receiving in Wise has issues IIRC, so straight USD transfers are best. We handle sales tax, so you only see the net payout. Do send me a DM if you have any more questions so we don’t clutter the forum 🙂
