Stand-alone, require no output

I have a plugin that is a visualizer. When used as a AU or VST3 pass through audio is fine.

However, I’d like to run it stand-alone as I just use a loopback in my fire face ufx+ that allows me to listen to an input.

The problem is, I don’t need an output. When I set the output to <> in the audio/midi settings in my stand-alone, it crashes. I’m not sure how to set it up correctly that it just wants to listen to input and do nothing else with the data in that setup. Right now I am just selecting this LANDR device I had installed for something else so I don’t hear it, but I’d love for it to not even care about it so it uses even less processing power.

Any idea how I might do this?
