Steinberg closing down VST2 for good

I don’t think so. What would be the criteria to reject?
In my case a person from Steinberg promised to contact me when they are ready.

I sent it at the 26. September and received the accepted agreement at the next day. Sent it to reception at steinberg.de with a pdf scan of the signed documents.

OK I got it, it is in the VST_SDK 3.6.10 here, in the VST2 folder: https://download.steinberg.net/sdk_downloads/vstsdk3610_11_06_2018_build_37.zip

The link is dead unfortunately. However, there’s a web archive available. So you can still download it here: https://web.archive.org/web/20181016150224/https://download.steinberg.net/sdk_downloads/vstsdk3610_11_06_2018_build_37.zip

I’ve just seen ableton news now. Finally!!!

Only took them ~10 years, 2 major versions and a minor to get there! :joy:

Did you get hold of the VST2 SDK license agreement? I would love to get a copy if you have it (the link doesn’t work anymore).

I got into the game too late to sign this one but I would like to understand what a licensee can do in terms of creating wrappers for legacy VST2 plugins.

Nevermind, I got it from someone else
