In the TextEditor triple clicking seems to set the selected range to zero before it highlights the whole line. It is easy to notice If you continuously click on a piece of text. You will notice the text selection flickers. Is there a easy fix for this?

Seems to work as expected. Not quite sure what you mean.
If you go any any textEditor and continuously click really fast on a piece of text you will see the selection flicker. It is pretty apparent. I posted a video here
