Xcode 3.0 workflow

#1

hello,

this is the first time i’m using xcode and i’m looking for ways to help me work easier.

  • what’s the best way to use the juce documentation? is it possibile to add it to the xcode documentation center and make it searchable by right-clicking in the code and selecting “find selected text in documentation” or “find selected text in API reference”?

  • how would i enable code completion for juce? or maybe i mean “code suggestion” where i type "object. " and it lists all possible properties

thanks

If there is a way to add juce docs, that would be nice. I just use the juce docs website, which is very well organized.

If you include your juce project as an external reference in xcode - the project, not just the lib, I’ve found that all the code completion works well without any extra noodling. I do have juce in as a Source Tree, but I don’t think that’s needed.

Oh, wait. Looks like Doxygen can make a DocSet for Xcode to use.

Could we please add that to the Doxygen script, Jules? That would be great to have.

ok, i got the code completion/suggestion working, thanks bruce.

the documentation is indeed very well organized but a xcode docset in would be very cool of course.
