auval shows for a new version (with a new juce) of a plugin (didn’t changed the version number of the plugin), different version numbers:

Old: Component Version: 2.6.0 (0x20600)
New: Component Version: 518.0.0 (0.2060000)

I think the new format is wrong.

BTW: version numbers which jump back, can be a problem, so please be careful when ever you change the generation (even if its a correction!) http://www.rawmaterialsoftware.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=10613&hilit=vst
BTW: where is can see the post-build script in the xcode3 gui? I can’t find it.

I’m not seeing this, copying the JuceDemoPlugin, changing the version number in the Introjucer to 2.6.0, saving and building gives the correct version across the board (Finder, Juce Plugin Host and auval). Same thing when creating a plugin from scratch:

thanks, seems to be my fault!
in introjucer my setting was 2.6.0.0 (could swear i didn’t touched this, but probably i done it, maybe cause of the VST-Number issues i had, so comes one to another )
