It seems the commit that broke this feature was made on Nov 2, 2023. That means it was made to 7.0.9 develop, while 7.0.9 (release) was released on Nov 20, 2023. So it was on the develop chain for approximately 3 weeks before becoming master. I’m not speaking for the JUCE team, but I don’t think changes are ever made directly to the master branch once it’s been released, a point release would be made instead.
