How can I message people?

I’ve been lurking the forums for and finally decided to set up an account.

I’ve tried messaging people on the jobs board (when no other contact info was given) but I don’t see the “message” option when I click their avatar.

Another forum user told me that I should be seeing a “message” icon on their profile like this:

On my end it looks exactly like this but without the “Message” button. (I can only embed one screenshot now)

I’m not sure if my account is too new or if I need to take some action to get this option but after trying multiple browsers, I just don’t see it.

I’d really appreciate any insight on this!

Hi @replicat, I’ve made a change in your account, I think you should see the message button now, let me know if there are any other issues.

I am experiencing the same problem as well and wondering if it also might be something that needs a change to my account?
