Total newbie to this but had a good time checking out example projects with Juce 8.0.12 on Windows 11. They seem to export to VS2022 OK - but even when I build an empty or basic new Juce project with VS2026 exporter, while this creates a VS2026 build folder it does not launch VS2026 but reverts to launching VS2022. This seems in part to be an anomaly on microsoft’s part as they name ‘Visual Studio 2026’ as ‘Visual Studio’ on the Win11 Start Menu. When I check further down in the Microsoft Visual Studio folder under program files the VS2026 folder is now renamed as ‘18’ etc.
So this seems to be a new Microsoft naming convention - is this confusing the Juce exporter so that it reverts to exporting and launching VS2022 rather than properly exporting a VS2026 build?
I could be totally wrong about this but would be great if someone here can put me straight on it. Many thanks in hopes. Incidentally are there code files somewhere in Juce for the various exporters? Thanks.
