JUCE LV2 Plugin Wrapper

I think LV2 in LMMS is what everyone’s really hoping for.

Once that happens, the synergy between the two should boost both considerably. I use FL Studio in Windows. But if I could move to LMMS in Linux, I’d be happy. And if I had the option of making LV2 plugins from my Projucer project, I’d definitely be doing it.

We’re in the process of developing multiple hosts and plugins that are exclusively targeting Linux so LV2 support would be an absolute blessing.

This thread tells you all you know need to know about LV2 support in JUCE. Unless there is a lot more interest in it, it probably won’t ever happen.

We could need this too. Also because of the new arm hardware devices that make it possible to run LV2 plugins for a small price.
They run linux and i totally understand the point of not using something like steinberg’s vst3 interface.
It needs to be an independent plugin format. And the LV2 format looks like the most suitable for this use case. The code is already there and i’m sure the people that designed the hardware would also help maintaining the code.

Bumping this response from today on the github issue. There seems to be a possibility and many welcoming it. Lv2 and juce would be a beneficial marriage for both surely!
