I’m working on a new project: building a next-generation DAW from the ground up, with a focus on real-time performance and AI-assisted music creation.
I’m looking for a C++ audio engineer who’s excited about joining as a cofounder and shaping the core engine .
What’s already in place:

Clear product vision + working prototype (UI + AI-assisted workflow).

Early user testing (20 active testers).
What I’m looking for in you:

Deep C++ experience in real-time / performance-critical code.

Strong background in audio engines, DSP, or plugin hosting (JUCE, VST3/AU/CLAP).

Understanding of low-latency systems (no locks/allocs on audio thread, lock-free queues, buffer management).

Ideally: shipped plugins, DAWs, or serious open-source audio projects.
What you’d be building with me:

Low-latency, cross-platform audio engine (Windows/macOS/Linux).

Plugin hosting and sandboxing.
-
Modular audio graph with sample-accurate automation.
-
Rendering, bouncing, and stem workflows.
-
Modern GPU-accelerated UI.
-
Hooks for AI-driven composition and audio tools.
Commitment & upside:
This is a cofounder role with meaningful equity and shared ownership. We’re based in Zurich, but remote works fine.
