Mid Side Encoding/Decoding Plugin

Can anyone please point me in the direction of how I can get started with a mid side encoding and decoding plug in? The plug in should aim to do the following:

Take in stereo (left/right) or mid-side signals. The end user should be able to choose
between the two input options.
Output in stereo (left/right) or mid-side. Again, the user should be able to choose
between the two options here.

Homework, eh? :wink:

First would be looking up what M/S is and how the formulas look like to convert.

Then create an AudioPlugin easiest using Projucer or cmake if you want and fill the processBlock with the formula you found. The loop to go over the samples is already there.
