What’s the current status of this with Juce? Is it possible to encode and decode mp3 files, and how do people recommend doing this? My understanding (correct me if I’m wrong) is that the mp3 patents expired.
Can we expect an mp3 encoder to be bundled with Juce at some point? Lame is now bundled with Audacity: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_installing_the_lame_mp3_encoder.html
Is it still common practice to have customers install lame themselves, or are developers bundling the library with their installer?
It would be nice if this was easier!
