So don’t know what I did wrong but when I try to debug my plugin, Plug-In Host creates two VST instances of my plug-in. Seems to be happening with all other plug-ins I try to load up as well. Why is that happening?

I’ve noticed this too - I think it’s just part of how it works - it’s not actually creating 2 instances per se, it creates one, deletes it and then creates another which is then actually used…
Hm strange, my friend is not encountering this issue. But that’s still kinda weird, why would it need to create one, delete it, and then create another one?
not sure - I guess it might be a bug or it might be part of the initialisiation of the container…
either way round, I’ve never found it to be a problem when testing…
