Hello everybody.
We are delighted to announce that there is a new, official, free, JUCE educational course available.
The JUCE team has been working together with Jan Wilczek (@JanWilczek) to compile a curriculum that will take a beginner through all the steps required to create a fully-fledged audio plug-in. In particular, you will:
- Set up the developer environment
- Correctly define plugin metadata
- Implement the audio processing
- Add plugin parameters to enable saving state, automation, and presets
- Create a UI according to best practices
- Thoroughly test your plugin for correctness
- Prepare the plugin for distribution
With 50 lessons, coding assignments, quizzes, prompts, and no AI-generated content, it will teach you everything you need to know about audio plugin development with JUCE to start creating your own plugins.
The course is also completely free. Free not only for people who want to learn from the course, but also free to any educators who want to use any of the curriculum within their universities, schools and courses. If you are an educator and having access to these materials would help you, please get in touch.
We will do a more comprehensive launch of the course in January with a press release, something at NAMM, and some other marketing, but the course is already complete and available to start now:
Since we’ve already had a few people asking:
