1 second MIDI latency on Android after 15 minutes

For our app we’re using a MIDI controller connected via Bluetooth.

After around 15 minutes the latency increases massively to the extend that notes being played will be delayed by at least 1 second.

Here’s what I know:

  • So far only Android devices are affected Problem now also reproduced on IOS (iPhone)
  • It only happens when connected using Bluetooth and not when connected using USB cable
  • After restarting the controller and connecting via bluetooth again (but without restarting the app) the problem has gone.
  • After reconnecting the controller without restarting the controller or app the problem also diappears.
  • The connection is of type Bluetooth low energy

Does this sound familiair to anybody?
