Our app behaves strangely when connected to a Mac via IDAM (Inter Device Midi and Audio). The latency increases over time. I have read in some threads (e.g. Audio Bus forum) that this is/was a known problem with some iOS versions/devices and some apps are/were(?) affected. It is interesting that not all apps are affected.
Maybe somebody here knows the problem and has already solved it?
When I start using the connection it works very well. After two or three hours, the latency starts to increase. After a few hours, playing the instrument live is no fun any more.
The problem doesn’t occur, if the MIDI data is input via a MIDI interface connected directly to the iOS device.
