AI Powered DAW

What are your thoughts on AI-powered DAWs? With the current music generator AIs, I was wondering if a well-integrated AI with a DAW that can assist you generate stuff and have context about your project could be revolutionary. Would love to get your thoughts on this…do you think it has the potential to be a major idea? What features would be relevant? and whether you believe the present players will or should incorporate something similar or a new written from the start with this in mind would be a preferable strategy, and so on

At least it will be easy to get investors interested…

But the question will be, does it have to be a DAW, can you not do a plugin to keep the manual features a DAW offers for further tweaking available?

I think the value proposition might be higher if it’s a plugin since users can adopt it easily, though I’m not sure if a plugin can give nearly enough workflows to compete with a well-integrated DAW/

You can get closer with leveraging the features of ARA, which gives access to more than just one track.

before I even knew AI was a thing I phantasized about a DAW predicting my next move. It would make sense. I spent night and day working with my DAW, so in some way it wouldn’t be too weird to assume that the DAW could know everything about me, if it only gathered and processed statistics of my behaviour a bit. How many notes per project do I use? How do baselines typically progress in my beats? What do I typically do, when there is frequency masking? While not being able to formalize these rules myself, I’m sure an AI could do it. This is more than just a fancy marketing gimmick idea to get investors interested. A DAW like this should be created one day… I wanna beta-test it!
