Any fix to DAWs seeing to instances of an AU version of a plugin?

So I am just testing my plugin seeing how renaming and things work with JUCE I noticed that the AU plugin has two instances? Has anyone found a way to only have one? I understand you can hide but file organization is important and I’d much rather not have 2 instances of file taking up storage. How can I get rid of the double AU plugin. It’s not just Logic doing this Studio One is having this issue as well. I normally don’t use AU plugins anymore since I switch from Logic to Studio One. But I would like to know how to get rid of this issue. They appear to be the same exact file twice why does this happen?

Thanks In Advance

Run pluginval, remove all entries, re-scan both AU and VST plugin locations - do you still see two copies of the plugin in the list? If yes, you then need to ask “where does the plugin live on the disk?”, and “are there two copies of the plugins in different plugin paths and did I maybe change the Plugin ID somewhere?” - but if no, then its a DAW-related issue and you might want to repeat the clearing-of-cache and rescanning in the DAW in question…

Pluginval is available in homebrew (if you use that), or here if you don’t:
