Bar sliders not updated on mouse down

when in bar mode a slider doesn’t react to mouse down events.

to reproduce:

  • launch the widget demo
  • go to the sliders tab
  • click (maintaining the button down) on the linear bar slider labeled “gallons”.

→ the slider position isn’t updated until you start to drag the mouse.

I don’t think it’s the expected behaviour, that isn’t the case in the other modes.

It’s not clear to me that this is a bug. A user can single-click the slider in order to initiate text editing, and the slider value should not change until after text entry in this case. When I modify the demo so the slider text is not editable, then the slider starts to behave in the the way you describe, i.e. the slider value jumps immediately on mouse-down.
