Yes, VST3s are auto-scaled by default. To allow a plugin to render at the native display resolution, disable auto-scaling for that plugin.

ah, awesome. I had tried to disable “Auto-Scale Plugin Window” but hadn’t reload the plugin. thanks reuk!
Has anyone found a way to make Live 11/12 load JUCE plugins with “Auto-Scale Plugin Window” disabled automatically on initial runs? It seems crazy that every user has to disable this by hand for a sharp display.
No, it’s an Ableton thing, not a JUCE thing. It is a shame that it doesn’t have this as the default option these days - maybe raise a suggestion to the abes?
