Hi dear JUCE team,
I face this bug on an old JUCE version, but I haven’t found any source about it on the web.
The bug is related to the StreamDeck, and especially to the “System/Open Application” shortcut button. You configure this button by setting which executable you want to launch. Then, clicking on the button will launch the app, and a long press will close it.
Unfortunately, even with a minimal JUCE application , doing a long press on the StreamDeck button is freezing the application.
The reproduce steps are:
- Get some JUCE app (even a minimal one, like an empty MainWindow in a JUCEApplication)
- Open your StreamDeck application
- Add a System/Open Application button in your configuration in the StreamDeck application,
and set the application field with your JUCE application - Connect your StreamDeck to your computer. Check that your shortcut button is displayed.
- Click on your shortcut button (your app should launch correctly).
- Do a long press on your shortcut button (your app should freeze).
Any other method used to close the application is successful. Only this StreamDeck shortcut make it fail, and only in Release, only on Windows (tested on Windows 10 or 11).
Thanks in advance for your help!
