Calling VST3 EditController::setDirty()?

And I have an additional question:

Would it be possible, that JUCE calls the EditController::setDirty() by itself? Maybe as an additional parameter through updateHostDisplay()? As suggested by @jimc here:

How the plugin can tell to the host the project state became dirty?

Bump again, is there really no way to do this without forking JUCE?
