Closed caption for videocomponent

Looking for some advice, examples for handling closed caption processing with mp4 videos processed through videocomponent. we have an .mp4 and a .srt file created from the .mp4 file.
Any help, just an idea of where to start would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure that is possible. The VideoComponent uses OS level playback, and while you can receive a start and stop callback, there isn’t anything to track time. You might check out Foleys Finest Video Engine
