Fastest FFT on Android (with new DSP module)

Hey JUCE team,

had a glance at the DSP module and that looks really impressive. Thanks for the hard work!

I noticed that there’s 3 different options for calculating the FFTs (internal, FFTW and Intel) and I’ve noticed that you have run some benchmarks. Have you also run some benchmarks on Android by any chance? We are looking for a fast convolution engine on Android.

Well, there are two things to consider:

  • Intel is not an oiption there
  • if you don’t have a FFTW license, you can’t use it in a non GPL app.
    Perhaps this already crosses all the other options?

ok thanks. We do have an FFTW license, so we probably use that.
