I might be misunderstanding but it sounds like you’re referring to using a cloud licence which is different to code signing in the cloud (for what it’s worth I think you need a physical dongle for signing locally anyway). That being said I haven’t personally used the service so you may know more than me but I would assume you are essentially uploading a binary which gets signed in the cloud and sent back?

To use the PACE Cloud to sign without a dongle still requires that the PACE service be running to open the PACE Cloud. We’re talking about the allowsigningservice option.
I use the allowsigningservice option for one of my PACE accounts to sign and wrap for some of my clients.
