Issues with Sequoia - Tahoe M4

I am seeing issues with installers on macOS Sequoia - Tahoe and newer M1-M4 MAX(and others) chips, I’ve noted, where other machines and OS are no issue.

What do you use for building environments to ensure max compatibility – and have you see any errors in this regard?

Theory: Build, sign and notarize on latest Xcode PLUS ON a newer M4 MAX for least problems? Does it even matter? If working on newer chips and os, should be G2G everywhere?

I’ve been working in one of the best Dolby Atmos mastering rooms around and using the main system throughout development mostly because its by far the best option. In hindsight it was a mistake. The room was the right choice, but I chose the best computer (custom Win11 PC) and the best DAW (Nuendo) and now, near the end of development I’m wishing I’d worked more on the Mac and tested more in Reaper and Logic. Now, I gotta deal with Apple’s finnicky subpar crap at a time I can’t afford to make anything more than small subtle changes. Its looking like my “last week of development” is gonna be a month or more now and they’re all the stupidest little things. Meeanwhile, I’m testing on DAWs I haven’t tested in at all throughout development and everything is working great. Its just the damn Mac, AU, and Reaper that are causing me issues.

So, I think you made the right choice in choosing to build on the same thing social media is always blowing up with consumers all freaking out about not being compatible with anything. If it build there, it should be easy to build the Windows VST3 version.

What are the issues?

random failures and quarantines of installers that are fully and freshly signed by apple servers, only on tahoe and sequoia m1-m4 (see notes above)

Interesting. Ive been hesitant on upgrading to Tahoe and this gives me more evidence to not to yet…

multiple users with these issues, installers and also graphics disappearing randomly, makes zero sense like its something to do with video cards ?!
