As we continue to innovate, we are seeking a dedicated Freelance Plugin Tester / Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure Hammer’s compatibility and performance across all operating systems and DAWs.
Role Overview: We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Freelance Plugin Tester / QA Engineer to join our team on a project basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing the Hammer VST plugin to ensure it operates flawlessly on various operating systems (Windows, macOS) and digital audio workstations (DAWs). This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of reliability and user experience that our customers expect.
Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive testing of the Hammer VST plugin on different OS platforms (Windows, macOS).
• Test Hammer across a wide range of DAWs, including but not limited to Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Cubase, Bitwig, Reaper, and Studio One.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using our internal tracking system.
• Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure resolved issues do not reoccur.
• Provide feedback on user experience and suggest improvements.
• Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and provide insights.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in software testing, preferably in the audio software industry.
• Strong understanding of various operating systems and their environments.
• Extensive knowledge of major DAWs and their workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose software issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of audio production and sound design principles.
• Basic understanding of programming and scripting languages.
