NEEDED: AI/ML Audio Plugin Developer (Vocal and Instrument Denoising & Classification)
Location: Remote | Type: Contract
Seeking an experienced AI/ML audio plugin developer to lead the development of a next-gen VST/AU plugin designed to intelligently reduce unwanted vocal and instrumental sounds in home studio and professional recordings. The ideal candidate will also contribute to instrumentation classification and adaptive denoising for complex audio sources.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement DSP + ML-based solutions for vocal and instrument feature detection detection/removal
- Develop and integrate real-time audio processing components in C++ (JUCE preferred)
- Build ML models for instrumentation tagging, classification, and selective denoising
- Collaborate with a small product + DSP team in a fast-paced, iterative workflow
- Optimize plugin performance across platforms (macOS, Windows, major DAWs)
Requirements:
- 3+ years developing audio plugins with real-time DSP and/or ML integration
- Proficiency in C++, Python, TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Strong background in audio signal processing and machine learning for audio
- Experience with spectral analysis (e.g., STFT, MFCCs), neural networks (CNNs/RNNs), and audio event detection
- Familiarity with plugin deployment pipelines (VST3/AU/AAX)
- Excellent communication skills and team collaboration mindset
- Home studio experience or musical background is a plus!
Bonus: Experience with deep learning-based speech enhancement, adaptive filters, or real-time source separation.
